This help file describes how to use the Multimedia Test VIs to configure supported multimedia test hardware for HDMI protocol and common interface testing, including the following tasks:
- Analyzing consumer electronics control (CEC) messages transmitted between high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) devices over an HDMI link
- Updating or reading from the extended display identification data (EDID) in order to simulate HDMI devices for testing
- Hot plug detection
