BIOS initializes hardware during initialization and provides run-time services.
Basic input/output system (BIOS) software is used by NI controllers, including PXI Controllers, CompactDAQ Controllers and CompactRIO Controllers. BIOS software is the first program to run when you start up your system. It can include updates that protect your hardware system against vulnerabilities or system bugs. NI BIOS software is typically stored in flash memory, so that you can easily update to newer versions.
