Note: The NI-CAN hardware driver version 18.5 is the last version released and compatibility stops at LabVIEW 2018. For continued support on LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time applications using CAN, please use the NI-XNET hardware driver. Refer to Migrating NI-CAN Applications to NI-XNET to learn more.
This page shows supported versions of the NI-CAN hardware driver with LabVIEW / LabVIEW RT development systems. Reference this information to ensure you install the correct version when upgrading or updating your system or software. Using incompatible versions may result in errors, missing LabVIEW / LabVIEW RT palettes or functions, or devices and tasks failing to show up in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
