General Questions

Q: What is NI Connect?

A: NI Connect is a free digital event designed for engineers looking to explore the latest trends in test and data analytics. Join us to hear the latest stories from peers who Engineer Ambitiously™ including inspiring demos and new product announcements. We are ready for you to join NI R&D to have your technical questions answered while seeing demos and learning about future innovations.


Q: Why host an all-virtual event?

A: Given the uncertainty of COVID-19 around the world, we’re looking forward to connecting with you online. The safety of everyone involved has always been our top priority, which is why we’re hosting the event virtually in 2021.


Q: Will the event be on one day or multiple days?

A: The event is scheduled for July 27–28, 2021, with sessions available at times convenient for participants around the globe.

  • Americas July 27, 2021 / 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT)
  • Asia Pacific July 28, 2021 / 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. China Standard Time (CST)
  • EMEA July 28, 2021 / 2:00–6:00 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST)


Q: Can I attend sessions being hosted in a region other than the one I live in?

A: Yes. Any registrant can attend any session in the timezone that works best for them.


Q: Who should attend?

A: Engineers at all levels can benefit from the keynote and sessions.  Business-decision maker, solutions architect, developer, engineers and aspiring engineers are all welcome.


Q: What should I expect at NI Connect?

A: Join us to hear the latest stories from peers who Engineer Ambitiously™, including inspiring demos and new product announcements along with some fun surprises. NI Connect provides a mix of innovation, collaboration, and learning opportunities convenient for participants around the globe.


Q: Will customers have to pay to attend?

A: There is no fee for this virtual event. 


Q: What languages will the content be available in?

A: All sessions will be in English with supporting translations in Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.


Q: Will session content be made available after the event?

A: Yes, all content will be available on-demand after the event.  Anyone registered for NI Connect will have the opportunity to access session content until August 31, 2021.


Q: Will this event include all the elements of previous NIWeek events?

A: We’re reconfiguring some of the most popular elements from NIWeek and NIDays and streamlining new content for digital viewing. Highlights include the latest trends in test and data analytics, conversations with inspiring customers, and new product innovations. Plus, you will have opportunities to connect with engineers globally.  


Q: How is this event different from NIWeek or NIDays?

A: For 2021, we are providing a virtual experience to meet you where you are in the world! Similar to NIWeek or NIDays, we will be sharing the latest in customer stories, new products and engineering innovations that will shape the future. 


Q: Will NIWeek and NIDays ever happen in person again?

A: We miss hosting events in person and hope to do so again—when it’s safe. We’ll continue to evaluate opportunities for in-person events in the future, barring any travel restrictions and local health ordinances. Meanwhile, our virtual events provide an outlet to bring together engineers from around the globe.

Q: When does registration open?

A: Registration opens globally on June 15, 2021.

Q: I completed the registration form. Am I all set?

A: You’re almost done! Please check your inbox for an email with the subject line “do_not_reply” to verify your email and complete your registration. Please note that you won’t be registered or have access to the event if you don’t complete this step.


Q: The verification email I received isn’t working. What should I do?

A: An invalid link error message can appear if your email settings auto-verified your registration. If you received the registration confirmation email, then you’re all set. If you didn’t receive the confirmation email, send us an email at


Q: I haven’t received my verification email yet. What should I do?

A: Please check your spam/junk mail folder and add do_not_reply to your allow list in your email client. If you still can’t find the verification email, please email us at

Exhibitor, Partner, and Sponsor Questions

Q: What does this mean for NI Partners/Partner Day?

A: We converted NI Partner events to virtual formats in 2020. They are hosted at different times throughout the year, and this format will continue throughout 2021. The next virtual meeting is scheduled for September 1 and registration information is coming soon.


Q: Will there be any opportunities for sponsorships or co-marketing in 2021?

A: Yes, there will be a limited number of sponsorships available at NI Connect.  Please email for a prospectus.

Speaker Questions

Q: Will there be speaking opportunities available in 2021 for NI Connect?

A: We are not offering speaking opportunities in 2021.


Q: I was selected to speak at NIWeek 2020 and was anticipating an in-person event in 2021. Will I automatically be given a chance to speak at NIWeek 2022?

A: Currently, we’re not automatically transferring 2020 sessions to this 2021 virtual event. However, we’ll prioritize currently approved sessions when 2022 conference planning begins and contact you regarding next steps.


Q: Can I have my complimentary registration rolled into NIWeek 2022?

A: Yes, if you were selected as an NIWeek 2020 speaker, we’re happy to provide you with a complimentary registration for NIWeek 2022.
