The following is a list of errata for the Data Acquisition Using NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW Participant Guide:

Page 1-34: Just below Reading the Pinout, the sentence should be  “The following terminal types correspond with analog signals”.

Page 2-10: Just below Reading the Pinout, the sentence should be: “The following terminal types correspond with analog signals”.

Page 3-5: The eighth line is pointing to a NC (no connect) pin. It should point to P0.7/PFI 7 as shown below.

Page 3-10: Figure 3 (sinking example) is the same as the sourcing example, figure 2. The figure below shows the correct diagram for a sinking DO circuit.

Page 3-16: Explanation 1 (DAQmx Create Virtual Channel VI): on the second line, it is said: "...because we know the maximum and minimum values we can program them". Maximum and minimum values are not programmed because it is a digital output,

Page 3-24: The answer to review question 3a is "Sinking" and the answer to 3b is "Sourcing".

Page 8-19: The title should be: "Starting Slave Tasks Before Master Task"

Page 8-21: Step 2c, callout 2 should be: Sine Waveform VI—Note that by default, this VI generates a sine wave of 1000 samples at 1000 S/s (samples per second).

Page 8-30: Below the title "Master Timebase synchronization", the first sentence should be : "...using Master Timebase synchronization".

Page 10-10: In the fourth step the equation should be:  0.00014 * 10.4 = 0.001456

In the fifth step the equation should be: 0.001 + 0.001456 = 0.002456  or  ±2.456 mV

Therefore, you can expect measurements of 5 V ± 2.456 mV.

Page 10-21: The equations for the answers should be:

Gain error at typical condition .03% » .0003 * 10 = .003

Offset error at typical condition .012% » .00012 * 10.2 = .001224

Error at a 10V = (.003 + .001224) volts = ±0.004224 V  or ±4.224 mV
