Building a PID Controller with Your Computer


Using LabVIEW, a USB data acquisition device along with sensor components, you can build a proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller to implement a simple control system. In this video, you will learn how to use LabVIEW VIs to customize input and output values to manually acquire, view, and generate signals from a USB data acquisition device, or how to implement the PID control algorithm with LabVIEW VIs for an automated control system. Additionally, you will see how you can monitor your control system in real time with a graph.
