Last Modified: June 25, 2019

Measures the pixel intensities on a line of an image.

connector_pane_image
datatype_icon

image in

Reference to the source image.

datatype_icon

line

Cluster of two point coordinates that define a line on which the node measures pixel intensities.

datatype_icon

start x

X-coordinate of the beginning point of the line.

datatype_icon

start y

Y-coordinate of the beginning point of the line.

datatype_icon

end x

X-coordinate of the end point of the line.

datatype_icon

end y

Y-coordinate of the end point of the line.

datatype_icon

overlay search area?

Boolean input that specifies whether the node overlays the location of the intensity measurement on the image.

datatype_icon

coordinate system

Coordinate system to which the line is linked.

If the coordinate system input is used (connected), the location of the intensity measurement is shifted and rotated by the difference between the reference position of the coordinate system and its new location.

datatype_icon

error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

error in does not contain an error error in contains an error
If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

If an error occurred before the node runs, the node does not execute. Instead, it returns the error in value as error out.

Default: No error

datatype_icon

image out

Reference to the result image. The search area may be overlaid on the image according to the setting show search area.

The search area may be overlaid on the image according to the setting show search area.

datatype_icon

intensities

Cluster that contains the intensity measurements.

datatype_icon

mean intensity

Average of the pixel intensities.

datatype_icon

standard deviation

Standard deviation of the pixel intensities.

datatype_icon

minimum intensity

Minimum of the pixel intensities.

datatype_icon

maximum intensity

Maximum of the pixel intensities.

datatype_icon

line profile

Array of the intensities of the pixels found along the line.

datatype_icon

coordinate system dup

Reference to the coordinate system.

datatype_icon

error out

Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.

Where This Node Can Run:

Desktop OS: Windows

FPGA: Not supported

Web Server: Not supported in VIs that run in a web application
