Testing the Safety Interlock

Last Modified: January 11, 2021

You can use LabVIEW or the NI-DCPower soft front panel to test the PXIe-4135 safety interlock. Refer to the Testing the Safety Interlock section of the PXIe-4135 Getting Started Guide for more information about testing the safety interlock.

To ensure safe operation of the PXIe-4135, periodically test the safety interlock for proper functionality. The recommended test interval is at least once per day of continuous usage.

Ensure the PXIe-4135 is disconnected from the NI-4134 before testing the safety interlock. The safety interlock test generates voltages up to 200 V, which could damage the NI-4134 if connected.
