Monitor the system status of DataFinder instances to restart them if necessary.
Note
If the DataFinder instance is not started, the system status displays the most
recent data from before the instance stopped. If you restart the instance after
deleting large search areas, it may take some time until the index updates.
In Data Indexing, click DataFinder
Instances.
Select an instance and click »Manage»Indexing Status.
Check the indexing status at file level. If you use an instance that indexes
the file service, like the FileIndex instance, SystemLink sorts the files in
ascending order by the date of the last file changes.
Optional: Perform any of the following tasks.
Goal
What to do
Filter files by indexing status.
Click Filter View. For example,
you can only display files whose indexing has failed or
which have not yet been indexed.
Index folders that have not yet been
indexed (not available for instances that index the file
service, like the FileIndex instance).
Select a folder and choose Index Folder»Index.
Index one file that was not successfully indexed.
Select a file and click Reindex
File.
Index multiple files that were not successfully indexed
(not available for instances that index the file service,
like the FileIndex instance).
Select a folder and choose Index Folder»Reindex.
Optional: For basic indexing information, click »Quick Info. For more detailed information, click »Advanced Statistics.
Note
Advanced
Statistics might show more indexed files than existing files
because several DataPlugins can be used for one file type.
