In some cases you may need to trigger the indexing process of a DataFinder instance index manually.

In
Data Indexing, click
DataFinder Instances.

Select an instance and click
.

Select Index Now to synchronize all files. This option
is not available for instances dedicated to the SystemLink file service.

Optional:
Click Reset Index and choose one
of the actions from the following table to delete and recreate the index. This
process may take a while depending on the amount of data.

Deletes the entire index and re-indexes all files.

Files with Indexing Status |

Files Timed Out During
Indexing - Resets the index of the
files whose indexing has exceeded the maximum
specified time and re-indexes the files.

Files with Indexing Errors
- Resets the index of all files with indexing errors
and re-indexes the files.

Files with Unsuitable
DataPlugin - Resets the index of all
files indexed with an unsuitable DataPlugin and
re-indexes the files.

Optional:
Select one of the actions from the following table to
optimize the index for custom properties or recreate the Quick Search index.

Recreates only the index of the Quick Search. Clients use
the Quick Search if they only have parts of the information
they are searching for, or if they do not know whether the
