Managing Software Updates on a Client

    Lock or unlock a client locally to control when software installations occur on the system.

    Before you begin, install SystemLink Client on the client and connect it to your SystemLink Server.

    When you lock a client locally, you prevent remote software installations from disrupting your work. After you complete your work on the client system, unlock it to install the software deployed to it from SystemLink Server.

    1. Log into the client system.
    2. Launch NI SystemLink Client Tray App.
    3. On the Windows toolbar, right-click NI SystemLink Notifications in the system tray.
    4. Click Lock.
    5. When you complete your work, right-click and click Unlock.
