Create templates and template grids to visualize your tag data more efficiently.

In Dashboards, select the dashboard that contains parts you want to reuse and
click .

In the editor, select the input, output, containers, or decorations you want to make a template from.

Select

Specify a name for the template.
You can view and edit the template you create on the Dashboards landing page under
Templates.

Open the dashboard you want to add your template to.

In the dashboard editor palette, under
Containers, drag a
Template onto the panel.

Select the template you want to use from the list.

Optional:
If you want to view several sets of tag data side by side using the same template, create a
Template grid.

In the Dashboards editor, drag and drop a template grid from the
Containers list.

In the
configuration pane, next to
Item template, click
... .

Select the template you want to use throughout your template grid and click
OK.

Next to
Tag query, specify which tags you want to use to populate the template grid.
The template grid will automatically populate with one template copy for each tag that matches the query. Refer to the introduction to tags for more information on tag queries.

Change the appearance of your tag grid using any of the other options in the
configuration pane. These values can also be bound tag values.

Save your dashboard and click
Play to view your tag grid.
