Managing Your Assets

View and manage calibration data, track your physical assets, and visualize information about your assets on a dashboard.

An asset is any hardware device for which NI has a driver, including third-party drivers. Refer to the NI Drivers download page for more information about drivers.
Asset management can include different tasks depending on your use case. The following table highlights tasks in Asset Manager to meet common asset management goals.
Goal Asset Management Task
Visualize important information about your assets. In NI SystemLink Web Application, click Asset Manager to open the Asset Manager Dashboard. The default dashboard enables you to quickly review and manage your assets.
Inspect and manage asset calibration compliance. View calibration data or manually add calibration data for your assets.
Trace your assets and view their connection history. Track your assets and visualize their connection history, or availability, over a period of time.
Query your assets and calibrated assets to only see the ones that match a certain criteria. Filter assets by querying metadata you want the results to match.
Create and visualize graphical asset reports Generate reports by executing, or running, Jupyter notebooks that install with NI SystemLink Asset Module.
Track how long and how often you use your assets in test systems. Programmatically obtain asset utilization data with the G, Python, or HTTP APIs and view the results on a dashboard or in an asset utilization report in Asset Manager.
