Is Vision Information Present (G Dataflow)

Last Modified: October 24, 2017

Checks for the presence of extra vision information associated with the image.

Extra vision information can include overlay information, color and grayscale pattern matching templates, calibration information, and custom data.

image in

Reference to the input image.

datatype_icon

vision info type

Specifies the type of vision information you are checking for.

Choose from the following values:

Name Value Description
Any 0

Checks if any extra vision information is associated with the image.

Calibration 1

Checks if any calibration information is associated with the image.

Overlay 2

Checks if any overlay information is associated with the image.

Grayscale Template 3

Checks if any grayscale pattern matching template information is associated with the image.

Color Template 4

Checks if any color pattern matching template information is associated with the image.

Geometric Template 5

Checks if any geometric matching template information is associated with the image.

Custom Data 6

Checks if any custom data is associated with the image.

Golden Template 7

Checks if any golden template information is associated with the image.

datatype_icon

error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

error in does not contain an error error in contains an error
If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

If an error occurred before the node runs, the node does not execute. Instead, it returns the error in value as error out.

Default: No error

datatype_icon

image out

Reference to the source image.

datatype_icon

present?

Returns TRUE if the extra vision information specified by Vision Info is present in the image.

datatype_icon

error out

Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.

Related Nodes

The following nodes associate information with an image:

  • The Learn Patern 4.gvi and the Learn Color Pattern.gvi add pattern matching template information to an image.
  • The Learn Calibration Template.gvi, the Set Calibration Information.gvi, and the add calibration information to an image.
  • The nodes add overlay information to an image.
  • The Write Custom Data.gvi writes custom data values to an image.

Use the IMAQ Write Image And Vision Info File 2 instance of the Write File 2.gvi to write an image, along with extra vision information associated with the image, to a PNG file. Use the Read Image and Vision Information.gvi to read an image and the extra vision information.

Where This Node Can Run:

Desktop OS: Windows

FPGA: Not supported

Web Server: Not supported in VIs that run in a web application
