    session in

Instrument session obtained from Initialize With Options .

    datatype_icon

    error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

    Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

error in does not contain an error error in contains an error
If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

If an error occurred before the node runs, the node does not execute. Instead, it returns the error in value as error out.

    Default: No error

    start frequency

Lower limit of a span of frequencies, in hertz (Hz).

    datatype_icon

    stop frequency

Upper limit of a span of frequencies, in hertz (Hz).

    datatype_icon

    session out

Reference to your instrument session passed to the next node.

    error out

    Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.

    Spectrum Span Behavior

If you configure the spectrum span ( stop frequencystart frequency ) to a value larger than the instantaneous bandwidth of the device, NI-RFSA performs multiple acquisitions and combines them into a spectrum of the size you requested.

    PXIe-5663E Multispan Acquisition Behavior

For the PXIe-5663E, NI-RFSA does not support multispan acquisitions from frequency ranges that correspond with different instantaneous bandwidths. For example, you cannot configure a multispan acquisition that acquires one span from 110 MHz to 120 MHz and a second from 120 MHz to 130 MHz because the bandwidths that correspond to each span are different (10 MHz and 20 MHz, respectively).
