Returns the actual gain (in dB) applied to the input signal for the channel and frequency you specify.
If you want to retain the previous state of the device, do not call Get Actual Gain before you call Configure Path or Configure Gain .
Error conditions that occur before this node runs.
The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.
Standard Error Behavior
Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.
Default: No error
Channel in which the actual gain is applied.
Default: 0
Frequency of the input RF signal in Hz.
Default: 100 MHz
Reference to your instrument session passed to the next node.
Error information.
The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.

Gain applied in the specified channel name at the specified frequency at normal ambient temperature, in dB.
For spectral measurements, subtract this gain from your calculated spectrum to remove the effect of the RF signal conditioning device on the measurements. For I/Q measurements, convert the gain to linear units and then apply the correction to the I/Q data. Negative values indicate attenuation.
For the PXI-5695, when you call Get Actual Gain before Configure Path for CH 0, CH 0 reinitializes to a default state (Main Path). When you call Get Actual Gain before Configure Gain for CH 1, CH 1 reinitializes to its default state (maximum attenuation).
For the PXI-5690 and PXI-5691, when you call Get Actual Gain before Configure Path or Configure Gain for CH 1, CH 1 reinitializes to its default state (maximum gain and Main Path). Additionally, if you call Configure Path before you call Configure Gain , CH 1 reinitializes to the default state for the path (Main Path).
