DIAdem VISUAL
Use the DIAdem VISUAL panel to visualize measured data or data calculated online. If you start a measurement or a display in DIAdem DAC, DIAdem opens the DIAdem VISUAL panel and starts visualization.
During a measurement you can modify the settings of display instruments such as bars or curves following a double-click, for example to hide or show signals.
You can use control instruments, such as switches or sliders, to control the block diagram operation. Control instruments that you use in DIAdem VISUAL also appear as a block in DIAdem DAC. Use the alignment functions to arrange the display and control instruments on the DIAdem VISUAL interface. Use the Lock editing function to avoid changes to the visualization setup. Use interactive scaling to zoom curves displayed in curve display, recorder display, wiper display and spike display, or to obtain a better overview of all curves.
The following is an overview of the function groups with the control and display instruments:
-
Use the Manual Input function group to insert control instruments into VISUAL and as blocks into a block diagram. The function group for manual input contains the control instruments Switch, Push Button, Slider Control, Dial, and Numeric Input.
-
Use the Curve Display function group to display signals as a curve over time.
-
Use the Wiper and Spike Display function group to display signals as a curve over time. In the Wiper Display a vertical line displays the current time of the measurement values. In the Spike Display DIAdem plots the measurement value as a vertical line over the time.
-
Use the Recorder Display function group to display signals as a recorder. The recorder display is similar to a cylinder recorder display which writes signals as a curve on a strip of paper.
-
Use the XY Display function group to display signals as an XY curve, as a Scatter plot, or to display geographical data in a Map.
-
Use the Gauge Display function group to display signals in a Gauge Display, Polar Display, or Cylinder Tachometer Display.
-
Use the Bar Display function group to display signals as Bars or Containers.
-
Use the Alphanumeric Display function group to display signals as Digits, in Tables, or as Messages or Text.
-
Use the Binary and Status Display function group to display signals as a Binary symbol or as a Symbol with more than two states.
-
Use the Alarm System Display function group to display signals, for example, as an Alarm table.
-
Use the Graphics function group to visualize, for example, a picture of your measurement object, or the live images of a video camera.
