DIAdem REPORT
Use DIAdem REPORT to display your data in graphs or in tables on several worksheets. You display your data in 2D tables and 3D tables. 2D axis systems display your data, for example, as curves or bars, and 3D axis systems display your data, for example, as surfaces, isolines, or 3D curves. In polar axis systems, you can, for example, present data as lines or spikes in a full or partial circle, and in spider axis systems you present data using categories. In pie charts or doughnut charts, you display individual values from a channel as a section of the whole pie or doughnut.
The function groups in DIAdem REPORT have a number of predefined objects for graphical data display. Click one of the objects in the function group to insert it into a worksheet. DIAdem positions the object in the worksheet and selects the object. You can then scale, rotate, and position the object. Double-click the object to open the main dialog box for setting the object parameters. In this dialog box you also select the data you want to display.
![]() | Note You can set parameters for subobjects, such as table headings or axis labels. Double-click a subobject to open the appropriate dialog box. DIAdem displays the name of the currently selected object in the status bar. If you press <Shift>, DIAdem displays the name of the object as tooltip. If you click several times while pressing <Shift>, you can also select objects that lie behind other objects. |
You can include various types of graphics in your report. Use rectangles, circles, and lines to divide your report into separate areas. Use arrows and comments to indicate important curve points. You can include free text and formula graphics. Free texts can contain characters, formulas, or variables. For example, if you use the CurrDate variable in a report, DIAdem always displays the current date. In the Global Font dialog box you specify the properties for including free text in a report. Use text objects to generate complex texts.

Use interactive scaling to zoom curve areas displayed in 2D axis systems, 3D axis systems, and polar axis systems, or to obtain a better overview of all curves. DIAdem offers many functions for aligning objects. The zoom functions minimize and maximize worksheet areas on your screen. |

Use Transfer Format to transfer the formatting of a selected object to other objects with your mouse. Select the graphic object whose formatting you want to interactively transfer to other objects. On the panel toolbar, click Transfer Format and then click the graphic object to which you want to transfer the format of the selected object. DIAdem only transfers the properties from the source object to the target object that both objects have in common. DIAdem does not transfer the size and position of a graphic object. Press and hold the CTRL key to apply the format to more target objects. |

Use Transfer Properties to format identical objects in the same way. Select a main or subobject whose formatting you want to transfer to similar graphic objects. In the module-specific command bar, click Transfer Properties to select the target objects in a list. The list only offers identical objects. |
In axis system and table dialog boxes, DIAdem REPORT uses the group index and the channel name to assign channels. Use user commands to set formats anywhere you can enter text and formats in DIAdem REPORT.
Use master layouts to save recurring parts of a layout and to add them to different layouts. Link layouts to master layouts, for example, to display logos or other graphics and decorations automatically in layouts. If you change the master layout, you can refresh the layouts that are linked to the master layout manually, or automatically every time you load the layouts.
You can save a completed report as a template and load the template at any time to display other data. The layout contains specifications for aligning the graphic objects and the references to the channels that DIAdem displays in the respective objects. You save the data set separately in DIAdem NAVIGATOR. You can export the report as a PDF document, an XPS document, an HTML page, and a PowerPoint presentation.
To transfer the layout of the visible worksheet to DIAdem VIEW, click Transfer to VIEW on the toolbar. In DIAdem VIEW, 2D axis systems remain the same and 2D tables become channel tables. 3D axis systems (that correspond with the contour display in VIEW), 3D tables, and polar axis systems create empty areas when transferred to DIAdem VIEW. DIAdem does not transfer text, spider axis systems, or pie charts to DIAdem VIEW.
