You can set up NI VLM to receive certain notifications about important events, as follows.
- The NI VLM user interface has been open for extended period of time. Closing NI VLM applies any changes and allows the server to perform important operations such as automatic permission request handling.
- Contract Expiration is imminent. Timely contract renewal ensures uninterrupted operation of NI VLM.
- Backup is too old. Keeping a more current backup ensures that recent changes in NI VLM are not lost.
- Disconnected or home licenses are expiring soon. Clients may not be able to run NI software if they are using expired disconnected or home licenses.
- Permission Requests are pending. Processing permission requests promptly ensures clients have access to the NI software they need.
