You can customize NI VLM reports to reflect how you want the data to appear.

To customize your reports, first generate the report and then click the Options tab to display the options you can apply. The options available depend on the type of report you selected, as described in the following table.

Section Option Description
Data View Months, Days Select Months if you want a monthly summary of the data. Select Days if you want a more granular view of the data.
Chart All Days, Weekdays Only When Days is selected in the Data View section, you can use these options to control which days are charted. Select All Days to chart every day within the selected date range. If you typically do not have usage on weekends, select Weekdays Only to limit your view.
Grid Whole Numbers, Decimal Numbers Select Whole Numbers to display numbers without any decimal places. Select Decimal Numbers to display numbers with one decimal place. These options effect only how data is displayed in the grid and do not effect how the numbers are calculated.
Sort by Total If you want to sort the data by the value in the Total column, click Sort by Total.
Show Filter Panel Click Show Filter Panel to enable filtering by custom field values.
Show Group Panel Click Show Group Panel to enable grouping in the grid. Refer to Grouping Data for information.
Export Chart and Grid, Chart Only, Grid Only Use the Export options to select how you want data exported to file. You can export the chart only, the grid only, or both. When you export a grid with group rows or master detail rows, the file includes all grouped data and master detail data. Refer to Exporting Reports for more information.
