You can configure a variety of different function modules in NI-VCOM, such as restbus simulation (RBS) and disassembly. Configuration takes place through an XML file, which includes parameters such as:

• Path of the communication file
• Name of the NI MAX hardware port
• Parameters for the restbus simulation:
  • Baud Rate
  • Channel name
  • Specific functions to be activated

Use the Configuration Tool embedded in the WebUI to configure this XML file. This way, you can configure the following communication bus modules with their dedicated hardware interfaces:

• CAN
• LIN
• Automotive Ethernet
