SVT Belts VI

Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of belts.

Details  

desired units specifies whether this VI returns characteristic frequencies or orders.

0Hz (default)—Specifies to return characteristic frequencies.
1Order—Specifies to return characteristic orders.
pulley1 nominal speed [RPM] specifies the rotational speed, in revolutions per minute, of one pulley of the belt. This VI assigns this pulley as pulley1 and the other pulley as pulley2. Because the calculation of characteristic orders does not require rotational speed information, this VI ignores pulley1 nominal speed [RPM] when you set desired units to Order. The default is 1200.
pulley1 pitch diameter specifies the pitch diameter of pulley1. The default is 1. You must use the same unit for pulley1 pitch diameter, pulley2 pitch diameter, and center distance.
pulley2 pitch diameter specifies the pitch diameter of pulley2. The default is 2. You must use the same unit for pulley1 pitch diameter, pulley2 pitch diameter, and center distance.
center distance specifies the center distance between pulley1 and pulley2. center distance must be greater than half the sum of pulley1 pitch diameter and pulley2 pitch diameter. The default is 10. You must use the same unit for pulley1 pitch diameter, pulley2 pitch diameter, and center distance.
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
teeth parameters specifies the teeth and their parameters that this VI uses to calculate characteristic frequencies or orders.
type specifies the type of teeth to use.

0Belt Teeth (default)—Specifies to use the teeth of the timing belt.
1Pulley1 Teeth—Specifies to use the teeth of pulley1.
2Pulley2 Teeth—Specifies to use the teeth of pulley2.
number of teeth specifies the number of teeth. The default is 37.
pulley2 nominal speed [RPM] returns the rotational speed, in revolutions per minute, of pulley2.
pulley1 misalign/eccen frequency returns the characteristic frequency or order of the misalignment or eccentricity on pulley1.
pulley2 misalign/eccen frequency returns the characteristic frequency or order of the misalignment or eccentricity on pulley2.
belt frequency returns the characteristic frequency or order of the belt.
timing belt frequency returns the characteristic frequency or order of the timing belt.
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
belt length returns the length of the belt. This VI returns belt length in the same unit as the input pulley parameters.
