Octave Analysis VIs

Owning Palette: Sound and Vibration VIs

Use the Octave Analysis VIs to perform octave analysis, third-octave analysis, and fractional-octave analysis, including 1/1, 1/3, 1/6, 1/12, and 1/24 octave.

The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes or specific sound and vibration error codes.

When combined with any National Instruments DSA device, the Octave Analysis VIs offer compliance with the following standards:

  • ANSI S1.11-2014, class 1
  • IEC 61260:2014

SVT Fractional-octave AnalysisPerforms a fractional-octave analysis on scaled signal [EU] in accordance with the IEC 61260:2014 and ANSI S1.11-2014 standards. Wire data to the scaled signal [EU] input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.
SVT Octave AnalysisPerforms an octave analysis on scaled signal [EU] in accordance with the IEC 61260:2014 and ANSI S1.11-2014 standards. You can use this polymorphic VI to perform octave analysis on a single channel or on N channels. The data type you wire to the scaled signal [EU] input determines the polymorphic instance to use.
SVT Third-octave AnalysisPerforms a third-octave analysis on scaled signal [EU] in accordance with the IEC 61260:2014 and ANSI S1.11-2014 standards. Wire data to the scaled signal [EU] input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.
