Inputs/Outputs

  • cstr.png Selector String

    Selector String specifies a selector string comprising of the signal name and result name. If you do not specify the signal name, the default signal instance is used. If you do not specify the result name, the default result instance is used. The default value is "" (empty string).

    Example:

    ""

    "signal::sig1"

    "result::r1"

    "signal::sig1/result::r1"

    You can use the RFmxWLAN Build Signal String VI to build the selector string.

  • cgenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle In

    Instrument Handle In specifies the RFmx session refnum. Instrument Handle In is obtained from the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA VI or the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA (Array) VI.

  • cdbl.png Timeout (s)

    Timeout specifies the timeout for fetching the specified measurement. Set this value to an appropriate time, longer than expected for fetching the measurement. A value of -1 specifies that the VI waits until the measurement is complete. This value is expressed in seconds. The default value is 10.

  • cerrcodeclst.png error in (no error)

    error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

  • idbl.png Frequency Error Mean (Hz)

    Frequency Error Mean returns the carrier frequency error of the transmitter. This value is expressed in Hz. When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the mean of the carrier frequency error results computed for each averaging count.

  • idbl.png Peak EVM (802.11-1999) Maximum (% or dB)

    Peak EVM (802.11-1999) Maximum returns the peak EVM results of the burst. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to Percentage, the measurement returns this result as a percentage. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to dB, the measurement returns this result in dB. This measurement is performed in accordance with section 18.4.7.8 of IEEE Standard 802.11b-1999. When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the maximum of the peak EVM computed for each averaging count.

  • igenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle Out

    Instrument Handle Out passes a reference of your RFmx session to the next VI.

  • idbl.png RMS EVM Mean (% or dB)

    RMS EVM Mean returns the RMS EVM results of the burst. When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the mean of the RMS EVM computed for each averaging count. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to Percentage, the measurement returns this result as a percentage. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to dB, the measurement returns this result in dB.

  • idbl.png Peak EVM (802.11-2016) Maximum (% or dB)

    Peak EVM (802.11-2016) Maximum returns the peak EVM results of the burst. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to Percentage, the measurement returns this result as a percentage. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to dB, the measurement returns this result in dB. This measurement is performed in accordance with section 16.3.7.9 of IEEE Standard 802.11-2016. When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the maximum of the peak EVM computed for each averaging count.

  • idbl.png Peak EVM (802.11-2007) Maximum (% or dB)

    Peak EVM (802.11-2007) Maximum returns the peak EVM results of the burst. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to Percentage, the measurement returns this result as a percentage. When you set the DSSSModAcc EVM Unit property to dB, the measurement returns this result in dB. This measurement is performed in accordance with section 18.4.7.8 of IEEE Standard 802.11-2007. When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the maximum of the peak EVM computed for each averaging count.

  • ierrcodeclst.png error out

    error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.

  • idbl.png Chip Clock Error Mean (ppm)

    Chip Clock Error Mean returns the chip clock error result of the transmitter. This value is expressed in parts per million (ppm). When you set the DSSSModAcc Averaging Enabled property to True, this result returns the mean of the chip clock error computed for each averaging count.

  • ii32.png Number of Chips Used

    Number of Chips Used returns the number of chips used for the DSSSModAcc measurement.
