Specifies the attenuation of a switch (or cable) connected to the RF IN connector of the signal analyzer. On a MIMO session, use port::<deviceName>/<channelNumber> as a selector string to configure external attenuation for each port.

Inputs/Outputs

  • cstr.png Selector String

    Selector String specifies a selector string comprising of the signal name and port string. If you do not specify the signal name, the default signal instance is used. The default value is "" (empty string). On a MIMO session, an empty string corresponds to all the initialized ports.

    Example:

    ""

    "signal::sig1"

    "port::myrfsa1/0"

    "signal::sig1/port::myrfsa1/0"

    You can use the RFmxWLAN Build Signal String VI to build the selector string. On a MIMO session, you can use the RFmxInstr Build Port String VI to build the selector string.

  • cgenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle In

    Instrument Handle In specifies the RFmx session refnum. Instrument Handle In is obtained from the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA VI or the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA (Array) VI.

  • cdbl.png External Attenuation (dB)

    External Attenuation specifies the attenuation of a switch (or cable) connected to the RF IN connector of the signal analyzer. This value is expressed in dB. For more information about attenuation, refer to the Attenuation and Signal Levels topic for your device in the NI RF Vector Signal Analyzers Help. The default value is 0.

  • cerrcodeclst.png error in (no error)

    error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

  • igenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle Out

    Instrument Handle Out passes a reference of your RFmx session to the next VI.

  • ierrcodeclst.png error out

    error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
