Fetches the measurement status, margin, frequency at the margin, and the absolute and relative powers at the margin frequency for lower offset segments for the SEM measurement. The relative power is relative to the total carrier power.

Use "offset<n>" as the selector string to read results from this VI.

Inputs/Outputs

  • cstr.png Selector String

    Selector String specifies a selector string comprising of the signal name, result name, and offset number. If you do not specify the signal name, the default signal instance is used. If you do not specify the result name, the default result instance is used. The default value is "" (empty string).

    Example:

    "offset0"

    "signal::sig1/offset0"

    "result::r1/offset0"

    "signal::sig1/result::r1/offset0"

    You can use the RFmxWCDMA Build Offset String VI to build the selector string.

  • cgenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle In

    Instrument Handle In specifies the RFmx session refnum. Instrument Handle In is obtained from the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA VI.

  • cdbl.png Timeout (s)

    Timeout specifies the time for which the VI waits for the measurement to complete. This value is expressed in seconds. A value of -1 specifies that the VI waits until the measurement is complete. The default value is 10.

  • cerrcodeclst.png error in (no error)

    error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

  • idbl.png Margin Relative Power (dB)

    Margin Relative Power returns the power at which the margin occurred in the lower, or negative, offset segment relative to the SEM Results Total Carrier Pwr property.

    This value is expressed in dB.

  • idbl.png Margin Absolute Power (dBm)

    Margin Absolute Power returns the power at which the margin occurred in the lower, or negative, offset segment.

    This value is expressed in dBm.

  • igenclassrntag.png Instrument Handle Out

    Instrument Handle Out passes a reference to your RFmx session to the next VI.

  • ii32.png Measurement Status

    Measurement Status indicates the measurement status based on the SEM Results Lower Offset Margin property.

  • idbl.png Margin (dB)

    Margin returns the margin of the lower offset segment. This value is expressed in dB.

    In a single carrier SEM, the maximum of the absolute spectrum trace with reference to the standard-defined absolute mask limit in the lower offset segment is measured. The maximum of the relative spectrum trace with reference to the standard-defined relative mask limit in the lower offset segment is also measured. The higher value is the margin.

    In a multicarrier SEM, the maximum of the absolute spectrum trace with reference to the standard-defined absolute mask limit in the lower offset segment is the margin.

  • idbl.png Margin Frequency (Hz)

    Margin Frequency returns the frequency at which the margin occurred in the lower, or negative, offset segment. This value is expressed in Hz.

  • ierrcodeclst.png error out

    error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
