Configures the characteristics of the microwave termination used as a noise source in the cold source method.

Inputs/Outputs
Selector String
—
Selector String specifies a selector string comprising of the signal name. If you do not specify the signal name, the default signal instance is used. The default value is "" (empty string). Example: "" "signal::sig1" You can use the RFmxSpecAn Build Signal String VI to build the selector string.
Instrument Handle In
—
Instrument Handle In specifies the RFmx session refnum. Instrument Handle In is obtained from the RFmxInstr Initialize NIRFSA VI.
Termination VSWR
—
Termination VSWR specifies an array of voltage standing wave ratios (VSWR) as a function of frequency of the microwave termination used as the noise source in cold source method. The corresponding array of frequencies is specified by the Termination VSWR Frequency parameter. In most cases, the exact VSWR of the microwave termination may not be known. Hence, NI recommends that you set this parameter to an empty array, in which case the noise figure (NF) measurement assumes that the VSWR of the microwave termination is unity for all frequencies. The default value is an empty array.
Termination VSWR Frequency (Hz)
—
Termination VSWR Frequency specifies an array of frequencies corresponding to the VSWRs of the microwave termination used in the cold source method as specified by the Termination VSWR parameter. This value is expressed in Hz. The default value is an empty array.
Termination Temperature (K)
—
Termination Temperature specifies the physical temperature of the microwave termination used as the noise source in the cold source method. This value is expressed in kelvin. The default value is 297.
error in (no error)
—
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
Instrument Handle Out
—
Instrument Handle Out passes a reference of your RFmx session to the next VI.
error out
—
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality. |
