Configures hardware for acquisition, performs measurement on acquired data, and returns the adjacent channel power (ACP) measurement results.

Syntax

int32 __stdcall RFmxSpecAn_ACPRead(niRFmxInstrHandle instrumentHandle, char selectorString[], float64 timeout, float64 *carrierAbsolutePower, float64 *offsetCh0LowerRelativePower, float64 *offsetCh0UpperRelativePower, float64 *offsetCh1LowerRelativePower, float64 *offsetCh1UpperRelativePower)

Parameters

NameDirectionTypeDescription
instrumentHandle[in]niRFmxInstrHandle

This parameter specifies the RFmx session refnum. Instrument Handle In is obtained from the RFmxInstr_Initialize function.

selectorString[in]char[]

This parameter specifies a Selector String comprising of the signal name. If you do not specify the signal name, the default signal instance is used. The default value is "" (empty string).

Example:

""

"signal::sig1"

You can use the RFmxSpecAn_BuildSignalString function to build the selector string.

timeout[in]float64

This parameter specifies the timeout, in seconds, for fetching the specified measurement. Set this value to an appropriate time, longer than expected for fetching the measurement. The default value is 10.

carrierAbsolutePower[out]float64 *

This parameter returns the power measured in carrier 0. The carrier power is reported in dBm or dBm/Hz based on the value of the RFMXSPECAN_ATTR_ACP_POWER_UNITS attribute.

offsetCh0LowerRelativePower[out]float64 *

This parameter returns the power measured in offset 0 in the negative band, relative to the power measured in the reference carrier specified using the RFMXSPECAN_ATTR_ACP_RESULTS_LOWER_OFFSET_POWER_REFERENCE_CARRIER attribute.

offsetCh0UpperRelativePower[out]float64 *

This parameter returns the power measured in offset 0 in the positive band, relative to the power measured in the reference carrier specified using the RFMXSPECAN_ATTR_ACP_RESULTS_UPPER_OFFSET_POWER_REFERENCE_CARRIER attribute.

offsetCh1LowerRelativePower[out]float64 *

This parameter returns the power measured in offset 1 in the negative band, relative to the power measured in the reference carrier specified using the ACP Results Lower Offset Pwr Ref Carrier attribute.

offsetCh1UpperRelativePower[out]float64 *

This parameter returns the power measured in offset 1 in the positive band, relative to the power measured in the reference carrier specified using the ACP Results Upper Offset Pwr Ref Carrier attribute.

Returns

Returns the status code of this operation. The status code either indicates success or describes an error or warning condition. Examine the status code from each call to an RFmx function to determine if an error has occurred.

To obtain a text description of the status code and additional information about the error condition, call the RFmxSpecAn_GetError function.

The general meaning of the status code is as follows:

0
