Configure the correct settings for the reference clock, which ensures that instruments in the session are operating from a common timebase.
-
Call Configure Ref Clock and select the reference clock
source that corresponds to the physical configuration your instrument.
- Onboard Clock: Uses the clock within the PXIe-5841 instrument that is provided by the PXIe-5655 module(s). The default option.
- RefIn: Uses an external reference clock source. For PXIe-5841 instruments, this clock is from external equipment that supplies a compatible clock, which you connect to the free REF IN port of an associated PXIe-5655 module.
- PXI_Clk: Uses the PXI_CLK signal from the PXI backplane.
-
If you selected an external reference clock source (RefIn),
provide a valid clock rate.
Valid clock rates for the PXIe-5655 LO within your PXIe-5841 instrument are as follows:
- 10 MHz
- 100 MHz
- 270 MHz
- 3.84 MHz × y, where y is 4, 8, 16, 24, 25, or 32
