The PXIe-5633 is a single-slot PXI Express vector network analyzer (VNA). The PXIe-5633 also includes a VST pass-through path to provide VST functionality when connected to a supported VST.

Measurement Calibration

The PXIe-5633 supports measurement calibration. Measurement calibration allows you to calculate and then apply corrections that optimize your VNA measurements for your unique test setup.

The PXIe-5633 supports two types of measurement calibration: manual calibration and electronic calibration.

  • Manual calibration—Perform measurement calibration with individual calibration standards.
  • Electronic calibration—Perform measurement calibration with the CAL-5501 accessory.

    • The CAL-5501 is the automatic electronic calibrator designed for the PXIe-5633. The CAL-5501 includes multiple standards in a single device to simplify the measurement calibration process.

    VST Pass-through

    The PXIe-5633 includes a VST pass-through path. When integrated with a supported NI VST, this path of the PXIe-5633 allows you to access the following from the same ports of the PXIe-5633:

    • The VST functionality of the integrated VST
    • The VNA functionality of the PXIe-5633
