PXIe-5172 FPGA Support

The PXIe-5172 contains either a Xilinx Kintex-7 XC7K325T or a Xilinx Kintex-7 XC7K410T FPGA.

Note FPGA functionality is only available when using instrument design libraries.

The FPGA is used for host interaction over the PCI Express interface, system configuration, digital data movement, and digital signal processing. The FPGA has direct connections to:

  • Device ADCs
  • The PCI Express bus (through DMA FIFOs, Controls, and Indicators)
  • DRAM
  • PFI
  • Synchronization resources
  • PXI trigger lines
