The following figures display the terminals on the PXIe-4051 connector.

I/O Connections

Table 5. Pin Descriptions
Pin Description
HI The input channel terminal capable of sinking DC potential.
LO The input channel terminal referenced to circuit common.
HI S HI, remote voltage sense. Used to compensate for voltage measurement error due to cable voltage drops on the HI connection.
LO S LO, remote voltage sense. Used to compensate for voltage measurement error due to cable voltage drops on the LO connection.
GND () Connection to chassis (non-isolated) grounding. Used to update from a channel connection to a shield ground.

AUX I/O Connectors

1 PFI 0 Programmable Function Interface for digital timing and triggering.
2 PFI 1
3 FAULT Device fault status output.
4 INHIBIT Forces the PXIe-4051 output to an inhibited state when not shorted to ground. You can short this pin to ground using the pre-installed jumper to enable normal operation.
5 GND Ground reference for AUX I/O.
6 PFI 2 Programmable Function Interface for digital timing and triggering.
7 GND Ground reference for AUX I/O.
