The following figures display the terminals on the PXIe-4051 connector.
I/O Connections
Pin | Description |
---|---|
HI | The input channel terminal capable of sinking DC potential. |
LO | The input channel terminal referenced to circuit common. |
HI S | HI, remote voltage sense. Used to compensate for voltage measurement error due to cable voltage drops on the HI connection. |
LO S | LO, remote voltage sense. Used to compensate for voltage measurement error due to cable voltage drops on the LO connection. |
GND ( |
Connection to chassis (non-isolated) grounding. Used to update from a channel connection to a shield ground. |
AUX I/O Connectors
Pin | Descriptions | |
---|---|---|
1 | PFI 0 | Programmable Function Interface for digital timing and triggering. |
2 | PFI 1 | |
3 | FAULT | Device fault status output. |
4 | INHIBIT | Forces the PXIe-4051 output to an inhibited state when not shorted to ground. You can short this pin to ground using the pre-installed jumper to enable normal operation. |
5 | GND | Ground reference for AUX I/O. |
6 | PFI 2 | Programmable Function Interface for digital timing and triggering. |
7 | GND | Ground reference for AUX I/O. |
8 | GND |

- INHIBIT Pin
The INHIBIT input pin forces the PXIe-4051 input to an inhibited state if not shorted to ground. This inhibited state forces the PXIe-4051 to sink 0 A of current.
