Use the Generic API Reflection VIs to read property and command information at run time without choosing a resource type at design time. Whereas the VIs on the API Reflection VIs palette allow you to omit the resource name in order to use the session defaults, the Generic API Reflection VIs automatically determine the resource type at run time based on the given resource name.
