Short Name: DSSS Power Ramp Down Time (s)

Property of niWLANAnalysis

Returns the measured power ramp-down time. This value is expressed in seconds.

If you set the DSSS Power Ramp Down Low Threshold and DSSS Power Ramp Down High Threshold properties to 10% and 90%, respectively, the toolkit does this measurement according to section 18.4.7.6 of IEEE Standard 802.11b-1999. However, the toolkit does not define the ramp time for unmodulated step input. To remove the variations in the instantaneous power caused by modulation on the baseband signal, the toolkit filters the power vector using the maximum value in a moving window.

Note  The direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) power ramp may not be found if the ramp-up or ramp-down time of the incoming signal burst is greater than 5 μs, in which case the toolkit returns an error.
