The NI PXIe-5632 (NI 5632) has four internal receivers (A1, B1, A2, and B2) that measure incident, reflected, and transmitted voltages between the VNA and DUT. The NI 5632 uses the four receiver measurements during calculation of the ratioed S-parameters. If you use the raw or actual receiver data instead of the S-parameters, the following measurements can be made:

  • DUT raw output (unratioed)
  • VNA raw performance
  • Custom measurement configuration
  • Application of error correction algorithms outside of the VNA driver

Raw receiver data can be useful for performing other specialized measurements such as gain compression and intermodulation distortion.

Note Note  Error corrections are not applied to raw receiver measurements, but source power correction or receiver power correction can be applied if necessary.
