Saving a Configuration

The NI-RFSG Soft Front Panel allows you to save all the current settings, and to later recall them to restore the Soft Front Panel to a predefined state. The NI-RFSG SFP uses the TDMS file type for this purpose.

When you view a configuration file in the NI LabVIEW TDMS Viewer, parameter values are stored in the StateDB group, and any waveform data loaded in Arb mode is stored in the Waveforms group. To view the waveform data, click the Values (table) tab or the Analog Values (graph) tab.
Click the Save button to save measurement and acquisition configurations in the TDMS file format.Click the Save to File softkey to save to a TDMS file, or click one of the Quick Save softkeys to allow for one click save/recall. Click the Recall button to recall a previously saved configuration.
To save your current Soft Front Panel settings, complete the following steps:
- Click the Save button or select .
- If you clicked on the Save button, click the Save to File softkey, otherwise, skip to step 3.
- Specify a path and file name in the dialog box.
- Click OK.
To apply a Soft Front Panel configuration that was previously saved, complete the following steps:
- Click the Recall button or select .
- If you clicked the Recall button, click the Recall from File softkey, otherwise, skip to step 3.
- In the file dialog box, navigate to the configuration that you want to recall.
- Click OK.
