The scan period is the period of the NI Scan Engine, and the DeviceNet I/O variable updates according to this period. If you use DeviceNet VIs, you do not need to configure the NI Scan Engine. Change the scan period according to your needs. Complete the following steps to change the scan period:

  1. Right-click the target item and select Properties from the shortcut menu. The Target Properties dialog box appears.
  2. Switch to the Scan Engine page and change the scan period.
  3. Click OK to close the dialog box.
