LabVIEW Project

Use NI-Industrial Communications for CANopen in a LabVIEW project to interact with batch service data objects (SDO), device baud rates, device node-IDs, and electronic data sheet (EDS) files. NI-Industrial Communications for CANopen introduces the following menus and menu items to the Project Explorer window.

  • CANopen Batch SDO—Use this menu item to display the Batch SDO General Settings dialog box. To display this menu, right-click a target in the Project Explorer window and select New»CANopen Batch SDO. To configure an existing batch SDO, by right-click this batch SDO and select the proper items from the shortcut menu.
  • Batch SDO shortcut menu—Use the sub-items under this menu to configure an existing batch SDO. To display this menu, right-click a batch SDO.
  • CANopen Utilities—Use the sub-items under this menu to display the Online Test Panel, Change Device Baud Rate, or Change Node-ID dialog box. To display this menu, right-click a target in the Project Explorer window and select CANopen Utilities from the shortcut menu.
  • CANopen EDS File Paths—Use this menu item to display the EDS File Path dialog box. To display this menu, select Tools»CANopen EDS File Paths.
  • CANopen VIs

    Use the CANopen VIs to create CANopen applications. Use the basic programming model to create CANopen applications. Access the CANopen VIs from the Industrial Communications»CANopen palette.
