Assign Static Channels

Configures DIO and PFI channels for static acquisition or for static generation, depending on whether session in is an acquisition or generation session.

A channel cannot simultaneously be assigned to static generation and dynamic generation.

Inputs/Outputs

datatype_icon

session in

Instrument session obtained from the Initialize Acquisition Sessionnode, the Initialize Generation Sessionnode, or the Initialize External Calibrationnode.

datatype_icon

channel list

List that specifies which DIO or PFI channels are configured as static.

Examples of valid syntax for this control are 0:31 or 0-15,16-31. Leave channel list blank to specify all channels. Use NONE to unassign all channels. On supported devices, you can select the following clocks using these strings: STROBE and DDC_CLKOUT. On supported devices, you also can select all supported PFI channels using strings such as PFI1, PFI26, and so on. The clock and PFI strings are not case sensitive and can be grouped with the standard input strings separated by commas. The following are examples of valid string syntax: 0, 4, 6, PFI1, 7 or 0-12, STROBE, DDC_CLKOUT.

Note NI-HSDIO returns an error if an event is already routed to a PFI channel and you try to reserve that same channel for static use with this node.
datatype_icon

error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

Standard Error Behavior

Default value: No error

datatype_icon

session out

Handle that identifies the session in all subsequent node calls.

The session out parameter is obtained from the Initialize Acquisition Sessionnode or the Initialize Generation Sessionnode.

datatype_icon

error out

Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.
