Short Name: Maximum Block df1max (Hz)
Property of niBTAnalysis
Returns the maximum block df1max value of the acquired signal. This value is expressed in Hz.
The Bluetooth test specification document specifies 11110000 as the 8-bit sequence pattern to use as a payload for this measurement. For LE-LR-125k packets, the payload pattern should be 11111111, which results in a coded bit sequence of 11110000.
The toolkit measures the average frequency deviation, df1max, within the bit period for each second, third, sixth, and seventh of these 8-bit sequences. All the df1max values within a packet are recorded as block df1max. The array of block df1max values are averaged over different acquisitions based on the specified averaging type and the maximum of these values is given as the Maximum Block df1max.
Refer to section 5.1.9 of the Bluetooth Test Specification Radio Frequency Test Suite Structure (TSS) and Test Purposes (TP) Specification 1.2/2.0/2.0+EDR/2.1/2.1+EDR/3.0/3.0+HS for more information about BR packets, and sections 4.6.3, 4.6.6, 4.6.7, 4.6.8, and 4.6.10 of Bluetooth Test Specification 5.0.0 for more information about LE packets.
The toolkit averages this measurement over the number of acquisitions specified by the DF1 Number of Averages property.
Assume that the toolkit returns a measurement array of N samples of block df1max in each acquisition. The toolkit does the following tasks:
- Computes the average of this measurement array over the number of acquisitions specified by the DF1 Number of Averages property using the averaging type that you specify in the DF1 Average Type property.
- Finds the maximum of all the N samples in the averaged measurement array.
