Short Name: Maximum Block RMS DEVM (%)

Property of niBTAnalysis

Returns the maximum of block RMS differential EVM (DEVM) measurements, as a percentage. The toolkit computes RMS DEVM measurements over multiple non overlapping blocks of 50 symbols each. The toolkit performs this measurement on the enhanced data rate (EDR) portion of the packet excluding the trailer symbols.

The toolkit averages the measurement using peak hold averaging over the number of acquisitions that you specify in the DEVM Number of Averages property, and then computes the maximum of all the samples in the averaged measurement array.

Refer to section 3.2.1.4 and section 7, Part A, Volume 2 of the Bluetooth Specification Version 4.0 and section 5.1.13 of Bluetooth Test Specification v1.2/2.0/2.0+EDR/2.1+EDR/3.0/3.0+HS for more information about RMS DEVM measurements.
