Use the Machine Characteristic VIs to calculate characteristic frequencies or orders of rotating machinery. You then use characteristic frequencies with the Frequency Analysis VIs to perform constant-speed fault analysis. Use characteristic orders with the Order Analysis VIs to perform variable-speed fault analysis.

Palette Object Description
SVT Bearings Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of rolling-element bearings or hydrodynamic journal bearings. You must manually select the polymorphic instance you want to use.
SVT Belts Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of belts.
SVT Gears Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of gearboxes.
SVT Motors Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of motors. You must manually select the polymorphic instance you want to use.
SVT Pumps Fans Calculates characteristic frequencies or orders of flow-induced machinery, such as pumps and fans.
