Creating Mappings for a National Instruments DAQ Device (Simulation Interface Toolkit)

Note National Instruments DAQ devices must support single-point timed hardware I/O to be used with the Simulation Interface Toolkit. |
Complete the following steps to create mappings between National Instruments DAQ devices and a model DLL.
- Specify the model DLL and real-time (RT) target or the localhost.
- Click the Hardware I/O page of the SIT Connection Manager dialog box.
- Click the Configure HW I/O button.
- In the Configure HW I/O dialog box, complete the following steps to configure mappings between an NI-DAQ device and a model DLL.
- Right-click the IP address or target name in the Device Tree and select Add Device»NI-FPGA.
- Configure the NI-DAQ device.
- Select the appropriate signal pairs in the Device Tree and the Model Tree and click the Add button.
- Click the OK button to exit the Configure HW I/O Mappings dialog box. The newly defined mappings appear in the Hardware Mappings table of the Hardware I/O page in the SIT Connection Manager.
- Click the OK button to exit the SIT Connection Manager and rebuild the host VI with the new mappings.
