Computes the fast Hilbert transform of the set of input data points specified by sample length using fast Fourier transform (FFT) identities.

This VI is similar to the Fast Hilbert Transform VI.

Note By default, reentrant execution is enabled in all Point By Point VIs.

Inputs/Outputs

  • cbool.png initialize

    initialize, when TRUE, initializes the internal state of the VI.

  • cdbl.png x

    x is an input data point.

  • ci32.png sample length

    sample length is the length of each set of incoming data. The VI performs computation on each set of data. The default is 100.

    sample length must be greater than 0.

  • i1ddbl.png Hilbert{X}

    Hilbert{X} is the fast Hilbert transform of the set of input data points specified by sample length.

  • ii32.png error

    error returns any error or warning from the VI. You can wire error to the Error Cluster From Error Code VI to convert the error code or warning into an error cluster.

  • Let h(t) be the Hilbert transform of x(t) and let

    be the Fourier transform pairs, then H(f) can be written in terms of X(f) as

    H(f) = –j sgn(f) X(f),

    where

    sgn(f) = 1 for f > 0 sgn(f) = –1 for f < 0.
