Emergency Power Off Panel

The emergency power off (EPO) panel, located on the front of the ECUTS, allows operators to quickly power off the test system by providing mechanisms that simplify connectivity and inhibit power switching. Use the EPO panel to reset a system in an error state, prevent damage to the DUT, or prevent harm to operators.

Figure Callout Description Use
1 Main Power Switch Provides the primary method for controlling if the system is active. Switch toggles between two positions—Standby (1378) and On (1378).
2 Temperature Controller (AutomationDirect SL4824-RR-D) Measures temperature based on the location of the attached thermocouple. By default, the temperature controller setpoint is 200 °C, effectively disabling the controller. To change the temperature setpoint, refer to the AutomationDirect Solo Temperature Controllers Manual.
Notice When temperature setpoint is reached, the temperature controller moves the system into the EPO state.
3 Emergency Power Off Button Provides a method for controlling if the system is powered. When you press the EPO button, EPO immediately cuts AC power from the PEP and PDU. DC power from the PEP to the EPO panel persists. Release the EPO button to return power to the system.
