TDMS File Format

Use the TDMS file format, for example, to write measurement data with LabVIEW quickly, efficiently, and in a structured format into a file. TDMS is the abbreviation for Technical Data Management Streaming. A TDMS file contains the header information and the data.

You can load and save TDMS files with DIAdem. When you load a TDMS file, DIAdem generates from the header information an additional file with the name extension TDMS_Index which only contains the header information. DIAdem can read the data faster from the TDMS file. If you save data in a TDMS file in DIAdem, LabVIEW can append further measurement data to this file.
