Optimizing Custom Properties

Optimize the custom properties of channels, channel groups, and data sets so that DIAdem can execute the search for these custom properties faster. The DataFinder displays for this custom property a button, which provides a list of all the values for the Optimized Custom Property in the search input field. The list makes it easier for you to specify the property value you want to search for, and to avoid spelling errors.

Complete the following steps to optimize custom properties:

1. Select DIAdem NAVIGATOR.

2. Select Settings»My DataFinder»Optimize Custom Properties.

3. Open the File tab.

4. Select the property you want to optimize.

5. Click the Optimized symbol. The DataFinder optimizes the selected property.

Note  Click the Optimize All button to optimize all custom properties of files, channel groups, or channels.

6. Also execute the same steps on the tabs Group and Channel to optimize the custom properties of groups and channels.
7. Click OK to close the dialog box.
