Installing a Ferrite on the USB Host Port Cables

You must install a ferrite around all USB cables connected to the USB host ports to ensure that the cRIO-903x meets all EMC standards applicable to your country.

What to Use

  • Ferrite (781233-02), included with the cRIO-903x
  • USB cables

What to Do

Install the ferrite on the USB cables, as shown in the following figure.

  1. Pass the cables through the ferrite, leaving 50 mm to 75 mm (2 in. to 3 in.) between the ferrite and the end of the cables. The ferrite can accommodate up to two USB cables depending on the diameter of each cable.
  2. Close the ferrite around the cables.
