Caution To avoid injury to personnel, two or more people may be needed to lift the side ballast. Use of a lifting jack is recommended.

Equipment

  • (Optional) M8 eyebolt
  • #3 Phillips head screwdriver, 1.30 N · m (11.5 lb. · in.)
  1. Optional: Install the M8 eyebolt in the tapped hole at the center of the side ballast plate to aid in lifting.
    Note The correct surface of the side ballast plate is facing upward if the printed "TOP" letters are upright.


  2. Position the side ballast plate in the middle of the C-channel at the right of the RMX-10101/10102, ensuring that the "TOP" letters on the ballast plate are upright.
  3. Screw in the four screws to secure the side ballast plate to the RMX-10101/10102 using the #3 Phillips head screwdriver.

  4. If you used an M8 eyebolt to aid in lifting the main ballast plate, remove the eyebolt.
  5. If necessary, repeat the side ballast plate placement process for additional side ballast plates.
