Replacing USB, Ethernet and Display Port Cables

- Power off your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system by flipping the main disconnect branch breaker to off.
- If your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system utilizes a UPS to provide backup power, press the power button on the UPS to power it down.
- Disconnect your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system from facility power.

The diagrams in this procedure illustrate the ATE-38U/44U front I/O panel. If you are replacing cables on the rear I/O panel or on the ATE-15U, the same procedure applies.
Equipment
- 3 mm hex key
- T8 Torx head screwdriver, (0.76 N · m (6.7 in. · lb)
- Remove the ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 left side panel using the 3 mm hex key.
- Locate the USB, Ethernet, and display port cables that you are replacing.
- Unplug the cables that you are replacing from the equipment they are connected to.
- Unscrew the two screws that mount each cable to the I/O panel using the T8 Torx head screwdriver.

Install the new USB, Ethernet and display port cables in the I/O panel using the T8
Torx head screwdriver.
- USB port cable
- Ethernet port cable
- Display port cable
- Connect the other end of the new cables to the appropriate end equipment.
- Reinstall the ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 left side panel using the 3 mm hex key.
Once installation of the new USB, Ethernet and display port cables are complete, you can reconnect facility power to your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system and power on the rack.
